Here's the story on this one... my brother bought silver and gold as investments during the 80's, and coins were a convenient shape for him to hoard and hide. He bought this from a precious metals dealer somewhere, who had melted down scrap silver and wanted to mold it into something interesting, so he made a replica of a 1947 Half Dollar. Let me be clear- this was NEVER a coin that was minted or circulated by the US government, and is much larger (almost 2" diameter) and heavier (2 oz) than your average pocket change. It has no monetary value, and is clearly stamped "COPY" to indicate that. It may be valuable due to its silver content, and it may be collectable due to its uniqueness, but it has no numismatic value.
