MCM Morning Star Teapot by Royal Doulton

Leave to the Brits to do MCM modern in a demure way! Even the storied Royal Doulton Pottery got into the MCM groove, though without the flash and chrome of American manufacturers. While decidedly modern in shape and design, the shape is unquestionably "teapot." The starburst at the top and "fin" pattern at the bottom scream mid-century, though the muted tones respect British sensibilities. It's in good condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing; the only blemish I see is a little scratching of the brown overglaze on the handle.
