Schlaggenwald porcelain is a type of porcelain made in the town of Horní Slavkov, Bohemia, beginning in 1792. The porcelain was made by the Haas & Czjzek company, which grew to be one of the largest porcelain factories in Europe. This piece, dated 1932, is a beautiful example of lusterware from the period, with a green body and white mottling that make it almost look like it's made from highly polished jade. The spot, rim, handle, and knob are all glazed in metallic gold with a matte finish that highlights the sheen of the lusterware body. It's in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, or significant scratches. It stands 8" tall to the top of the knob, and measures 6-1/2" from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle, is the body is about 3-3/4" in diameter. I estimate it to hold 6-8 cups. Gift wrap available, ships free in the US.
