VINTAGE Art Deco Streamline Moderne Cocktail Shaker. Stainless/Chrome.

This stunning shaker harkens back to a time when streamlined locomotives pulled club cars full a passengers across the miles along the country's modern new railway system. Cocktails were all the rage between the repeal of prohibition and the start of WWII, and chrome cocktail shakers with screw-cap spouts kept a party going with batched mixing of everyone's favorite drinks. This piece recovered nicely from years of neglect, with its cap still intact. There is a slight deterioration of the chrome finish on one side of the handle, but it polished up nicely and the polish should protect from additional wear. The interior appears to be a tinned finish, and there is a slight wear-down of the tin at the top, but it is otherwise clean and undamaged. There are no dents or severe scratches. With hand washing and an occasional application of good metal polish like Wenol or Flitz this shaker should be providing party libations for decade to come!
