I'm calling this the "Mushroom Haters' Gravyboat" and here's why: it has two spouts! One has a retainer bar that would hold mushrooms back, and the other spout is open and will let mushrooms pour through. Perfect for the family with a blend of mushroom haters and lovers! I've seen similar items described as gravy separators, but I'm not sure how that would work.

There are no markings on the bottom so I'm not 100% certain of its date or origin, but it sure looks like the 1960's to me. My google search showed a similar piece by Pfaltzgraf, but this is not as chunky and clunky as Pfaltzgraf, nor is it marked as Pfaltzgraf would be. I saw similar glazed patterns by Royal Canadian, but I think that would also have a mark. It may have been imported by Nasco, probably from Japan, and would have had a sticker on the bottom that has long since washed off. That's my best guess.

The color is "so brown it looks black," and the pattern, not to get political, is "Ruth Bader Ginsberg's Dissent Collar." (It really does look like lace!) It's just under 4" tall, 6-1/4" from spout-tip to spout-tip, and 5" from the corner of the handle to the opposite rim. There are no chips or cracks, and just some slight crazing which can barely be seen because the piece is so dark. Ships free in the US, gift wrap available!
